TVSS
Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors (TVSS) are used extensively to protect against temporary excess voltage and/or current in an electrical circuit that has been disturbed. TVSS can be AC single phase, AC three phase, or DC data line. AC single-phase units are configured to suppress surges, spike, transients, etc., on single-phase AC power lines. AC three phase units are configured to suppress surges, spike, transients, etc., on three phase AC power lines. DC or data line units are configured to suppress surges, spike, transients, etc., on DC data, phone, and signal lines. TVSS units can also be power conditioners which is a unit with full power conditioning capabilities to ensure the reliable quality and consistency of power to sensitive medical, laboratory, computer, and other high technology equipment. TVSS is a very cost effective unit that is placed on the 'line' side of a UPS unit.
